Scotiabank has joined efforts with the Harlem Children’s Zone to support their Center for Higher Education and Career Support (CHECS). CHECS provides comprehensive, year-round support to HCZ college students, many of whom are the first in their families to go to college. CHECS also helps coordinate internships for college students, both at HCZ and throughout New York City.  Not only do they earn much-needed income to help cover their college expenses, but they also gain valuable work experience and begin to build a network of professional connections.
