Where is HCZ Promise Academy located?
  • Promise Academy I Elementary, Middle, and High School is located at 245 West 129th Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues.
  • Promise Academy II Elementary School is located at 70 East 112th Street, between Madison and Park Avenues.
  • Promise Academy II Middle and High School is located at 35 East 125th Street, between Madison and 5th Avenues.
What grade levels does HCZ Promise Academy serve?

Both Promise Academy I and Promise Academy II serve grades K-12.

How long is the school day?

The school day begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM. Early arrival and breakfast are available from 7:15–7:50 AM. After-school programming is available Monday–Thursday from 4:00–6:30 PM (Grades K–2) and 4:00–7:00 PM (Grades 3–12), and Fridays from 4:00–6:00 PM. 

What after-school programming is offered?
  • Health and Wellness – Fun Fitness Activities, Nutrition Classes, and Family Workshops
  • Enrichment – Hip Hop & Modern Dance, Science, Gardening, Arts and Crafts, Music Production, Musical Theater, Photography, Fashion, Project-Based Learning, Fundamentals of Gaming, and Percussion (note: enrichment activities may vary depending on grade level and age group.)
  • Life Readiness Skill Building – Character Education, Civics, College and Career Readiness, Wellness, Wealth Builds, and Student Government
