Promise Academy® I appeared in a live segment on NBC’s Today Show and were gifted hundreds of books thanks to co-host Jenna Bush Hager. As part of a reading partnership with the nonprofit Room to Read and the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, Kappa undergrads visited Promise Academy® I to read aloud to the Promise Academy® I second-graders, which was filmed for the segment. Later, the students were invited to the live Today Show taping for an extra surprise — the chance to reunite with their Kappa reading partners and a book fair in Rockefeller Plaza.
