We are thrilled to announce that Hawa, a 4th grader at Promise Academy® II, has been chosen as a finalist in Crayola’s Creativity Connects the World 2015-2016 Art Exhibition!
Hawa’s work (pictured above) was selected from Pre-K through 12th grade student submissions around the world for its originality and connection to the contest theme: how creativity connects the world. As a finalist, Hawa will have her work displayed at the U.S. State Department in April in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies. It will then be donated to the U.S. Department of Education, where it will become part of their permanent collection of original student art. To commemorate her amazing achievement, Hawa will also receive a customized plaque with a replica of her work, along with a selection of Crayola products.
Congratulations, Hawa, on this incredible accomplishment!
