Harlem Children’s Zone CEO Kwame Owusu-Kesse and founder and president Geoffrey Canada have been featured in two ‘Power’ lists published by influential New York City news organizations.

Owusu-Kesse and Canada were listed as part of Politics NY‘s 2021 Power Players in Education. The list recognizes public officials, policymakers, nonprofit leaders, and more who work day in and day out to ensure New York’s students get the very best education.

They were also named as part of City And State New York‘s Power of Diversity: Black 100 2021. This list, created in partnership with Harlem’s historic New York Amsterdam News, recognizes influential Black leaders who are blazing trails in New York. Owusu-Kesse and Canada also appeared on the Power of Diversity last year.
