When “60 Minutes” first reported on Geoffrey Canada and Harlem Children’s Zone three and half years ago, “There was no way to tell if [Canada’s] Children’s Zone was working,” host Anderson Cooper noted in a recent episode of the CBS nightly news program.
Today, the results are in. “And they’re nothing short of stunning,” Cooper says. So kicks off the latest episode of “60 Minutes” about Canada, the visionary founder and president of Harlem Children’s Zone, and the organization he founded to end intergenerational poverty in Central Harlem.
