Families with family members over 21 can apply for temporary housing assistance by visiting Adult Family Intake Center (AFIC) at 400-430 East 30th Street. The AFIC is open 24/7/365.
Single adults can apply for shelter at one of several intake centers and shelters throughout Manhattan.
Shelters for Families with Children
Families with children can apply for shelter at the Department of Homeless Services Prevention Assistance and Temporary Housing (PATH) intake center.

Housing Support
Apply for a one-time rental subsidy that will be sent directly to your household’s landlord. Applicants will not need to repay this assistance. Households with the “greatest economic and social need” will be prioritized.
