Teaching Artists, TRUCE (AmeriCorps)

TRUCE is currently hiring for the following position(s): F/T  AMERICORPS PEACEMAKERS/Teaching Artists:  Part of the Americorps national service program, Peacemakers are responsible for working with youths (ages 13-19) to develop their artistic, educational and leadership potential. Peacemakers prepare lesson plans, coordinate arts-based projects and lead workshops. All Americorps/Peacemakers must be able to complete their one-year service commitment. There is the potential to renew your contract for one additional year at the end of your first year.

Student Advocate, ETC

The Harlem Children's Zone Employment and Technology Center Program is currently seeking a Full-Time Student Advocate to work as part of a comprehensive technology, arts, media, and academic-based youth development program that serves approximately 300 high school students.  The Student Advocate will be responsible for monitoring the progress of each student assigned to their caseload through regular contact and collaboration with the student, his/her parents, school staff, and all other stakeholders.  The Student Advocate will develop individualized action plans to help students achieve academic, social and personal success.
